Partner program terms
1. Who can join
Businesses and self-employed people 18 or older in Canada who serve couples, parents or families. Joining is free. There is nothing to buy and no quota.
2. Your link
You get a personal link (inourlife.ca/r/CODE). A client is credited to you when they create their In Our Life account after clicking your link, within 90 days of their last click on a partner link. If they clicked several partners’ links, the last click wins. The 90 days is only the time a client has to sign up: once credited, they stay yours, and you earn on their passes as described in section 3.
3. What you earn
A share of the price before tax of every Event Pass and Gift Pass bought by an account credited to you, within 12 months of that account’s signup. The current rate and amounts are shown on the program page and in your dashboard. Nothing is earned on free sites. Gift Passes count once, when they’re bought, not again when they’re used.
4. Single level
You earn on your clients only, never on other partners you bring in. There are no recruiting bonuses.
5. Disclosure (required)
Every time you share your link publicly, say that you may earn a commission: add #affiliate, or a plain sentence such as “I may earn a commission if you sign up.” This applies to posts, messages, emails, videos, websites and in person. (Canada’s Competition Act.)
6. How you may promote
No spam: email and text only to people who agreed to hear from you (CASL). No paid ads that bid on or use the name In Our Life, and no domains or social accounts that imitate ours. No false or exaggerated claims about In Our Life, its prices, or its privacy. Don’t create accounts for clients without their consent.
7. Self-referrals and duplicates
Your own accounts, accounts that use your email, phone, card or connection, and clients who already had an account are held for review and are normally not credited.
8. Payment
Commissions accrue from the first pass. Payouts are monthly, once your payable balance reaches the minimum shown in your dashboard. A commission becomes payable 30 days after the client’s payment. Payment by Interac e-Transfer, in Canadian dollars.
9. Clawback
If a payment is refunded, voided or charged back, the commission on it is reversed, including one already paid (deducted from the next payout).
10. Taxes
You are paid as a self-employed individual: you report your commissions to the CRA yourself and, if registered, charge GST/HST. We don’t collect your SIN or business number.
11. Changes and ending
We may change the rate or these terms with 30 days’ notice by email; commissions already earned keep the rate they were earned at. Either side can end the partnership at any time. Breaking sections 5 to 7 can end it immediately and cancel unpaid commissions on the affected clients.
12. Independent business
You are not an employee or agent of RKP Atlantic Business Services (687441 N.B. Inc.) and can’t sign or promise anything on our behalf.
